Countertops set the tone for kitchens and baths. Quartz and marble are both excellent — just for different lifestyles. At JJS Management Inc., we help clients choose the right surface for how they actually live.
Quartz (engineered stone).
- Pros: Highly durable, non-porous, stain-resistant, and no sealing required. Patterns can be consistent or mimic stone. Great for busy homes.
- Cons: Less heat tolerant than natural stone; ultra-uniform looks may feel “manufactured” to some.
Marble (natural stone).
- Pros: Iconic veining, timeless luxury, naturally cool for baking. Each slab is one-of-a-kind.
- Cons: Porous; needs sealing and gentle cleaners. Prone to etching from acids (lemon, vinegar).
Our recommendation: If you want easy care with high style, quartz is hard to beat. If you love natural variation and don’t mind a little patina over time, marble is magic. We’ll show you slab options, edge profiles, and care routines so you’re confident either way.
